What is your academic background and what did you do before you started teaching at Lund University?
My academic background is in communication and media, specialization public relations. Before I came to Lund, I worked at the institute for strategic communication in Leipzig, Germany.
What trends do you see in strategic communication?
It will become more technical and better rooted in the mind sciences. Many jobs which used to go to ‘communication people’ will go to people who have skills in data science, psychology, cognitive science.
What would the students be surprised to find out about you?
How unsurprising and boring I am.
What is one of your hidden talents?
I’m reasonably good at drawing with a pencil.
If you won the lottery and decided to give up teaching/researching, what would you do instead?
I always wanted to be a fighter pilot.
