Assistant Professor Hui Zhao and her co-author Chiara Valentini have received the best paper award for their research on international crisis communication and multinational corporations’ political engagement from the European Public Relations Education and Research Association 2021 Congress.

Hui Zhao interests are in researching organizational communication in a rapidly evolving media landscape and amidst complex social situations like crises. Key research areas include organizational communication with external stakeholders and cultural and political aspects of digital media.

Hui Zhao teaches organization-related communication topics, including strategic communication, public relations, crisis communication, and media studies in the contexts of market, culture, and society.
