Nordic Market Analyst within Digital Communication at Samsung-
Why did you choose to study the Master’s programme in Strategic Communication at Lund University?
For me, it was an easy choice. I har just finished my Bachelor within Strategic Communication, and I really enjoyed that field. The broad field, the possibility to choose the direction myself and the structure are all parts that gave me motivation to continue my studies at Campus Helsingborg.
What is the best part of this programme and why?
A great part of what I learned during the Programme is theories and knowledge I have had good use of in my work to transform into practical skills. The education has given me a solid and broad base to stand on, and I feel I can handle and understand many different areas of communication. Another thing that has been very important to me, especially in my current role, is the international perspective that runs through the entire Programme.
In what way have your studies changed on how you look upon Strategic Communication practice?
It didn't only change, it laid the ground for how I view communication. Everything I do, from small to big things in my work is influenced by what I have with me from my education.
How has the program helped you to pursue a career in the communication industry?
It has given me a fundamental base to rely on and self confidence that made me well prepared to start my working life. I got the possibility during the Programme to understand what my focus should be in my career. Without that freedom it's hard to see me where I am today. In addition to that, it is of course a great merit to have a Master in the bag, especially if you apply for a job at an international organisation.
What are your future career dreams?
The digital sphere is young with a lot of areas to develop, with new trends and knowledge that makes it possible to learn more things all the time. I try to challenge myself to continue to develop and the role I have now gives my that possibility. In the future I see myself in a more strategic role and I would like to work more abroad, but this doesn't have to happen in the a near future.
