Why did you choose Lund University and the Master's Programme in Strategic Communication?

My choice to pursue a master’s degree in Strategic Communication at Lund University stems from a passion for understanding how communication can be utilized to strategically solve problems and proffer solutions from a global perspective.

What is the best thing about your programme?

The most intriguing thing about the programme so far has been the access to various resources to further widen my horizon on what constitutes effective communication with different stakeholders. By access to resources, I mean not just the documents or books, but accessibility to the lecturers, student receptions, supervisions, and the overall structure of the programme.

What is it like to live and study in Sweden?

Living in Sweden in one word would have to be explosive. In all honesty, it can be a lot, from thinking about studies to the change in weather to making new friends, getting a job, or just trying out new hobbies. The “explosive” can be either good or bad depending on how you view it, but all I am saying is studying alongside all these things can feel like a whole lot sometimes. But of course, living in Sweden is amazing, with beautiful and supportive people all around, amazing scenery, and the inclusiveness of many nationalities that make it even more dynamic.

What are the biggest differences between this programme and your undergraduate programme?

The biggest difference between this study and my bachelor's study is the emphasis on conducting research and working in groups to develop the skillset for teamwork.

Besides the studies, are you engaged in any other activities at LU?

Aside from studying, I have been involved in art and as the recipient of the Campus Vänner scholarship, I have hosted some art workshops and art exhibitions at Mind Park and Dunkers Kulturhus.

Do you have any favourite places in Helsingborg?

My favourite spot in the city has got to be my home. I enjoy staying indoors either drawing, reading, or watching football.

What are your plans for the future?

My plan for the future is to complete my studies and peruse the many opportunities Sweden offers to international students like myself. This really has been an enjoyable experience for me so far and I look forward to life in Sweden post-studies.
