Psychological Defence Research Conference

A research conference was held in Lund in October 2023. The conference, organized jointly by the Psychological Defence Research Institute and the Swedish Psychological Defence Agency, gathered researchers representing institutions across Sweden from varied disciplines such as international relations, political science, sociology, strategic communication and law. The conference is planned to become an annual event with the aim of strengthening collaboration between researchers and their institutions as well as identifying trends and future needs in research areas connected to psychological defence.

In addition to the researchers, the conference was attended by the Headmaster of Lund University, Erik Renström, the Dean of social sciences, Christofer Edling, the Director of the Agency for Psychological Defense, Magnus Magnus Hjort, as well as the Swedish Minister of Civil Defence, Carl-Oskar Bohlin. The minister concluded the conference by reflecting upon the challenges of resilience and responses from a societal perspective and the need feed for research to support and strengthen the area.
